Meet Minty...the original Golden Child
Minty is our beloved Cavoodle and the inspiration behind Golden Child. At 14 years old, she still has the energy and playfulness of a puppy. Her love for people knows no bounds, and she’s never one to turn down pats—or a piece of cheese.
She’s obsessed with human food, hates baths, and waits patiently in the kitchen for any scraps that might fall from the counter. Minty is affectionate, always happy, and truly one of a kind. As she’s aged and begun facing a few health challenges, we’ve been thinking more about how to celebrate her life and keep her memory alive when the time comes.
Minty isn’t just the heart of our family; she’s the heart of Golden Child.
Our Story
Golden Child was born out of the desire to create something meaningful and beautiful to celebrate Minty. When we looked for a way to honour her, everything out there felt tacky, generic, or didn’t represent her unique personality. We wanted something that was stylish, high-quality, and worthy of a family member.
With our family in the jewellery industry, we decided to create it ourselves! My sister and dad brought their expertise in crafting fine jewellery, and together we designed pieces that are handcrafted using precious metals.
Golden Child is proudly local, based in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and crafted with love right here in Queensland.
Golden Child isn’t just about Minty; it’s about every pet who holds a special place in their owner’s heart. Our pieces are designed by animal lovers, for animal lovers, to honour the incredible bond we share with our pets. Because they’re more than just pets—they’re family.
